American Indian Records Repository (AIRR)

DOI employees and staff from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) are working together to preserve Indian Affairs records. AIRR is a product of a partnership between NARA and DOI, the first such partnership in history.

AIRR provides authorized researchers and DOI staff who are conducting the historical trust accounting secure access to inactive records. Records are stored in strict compliance with NARA standards.

With its close proximity to Haskell Indian Nations University, staff members at AIRR help teach courses on records management at the University.
